Taste the Tradition

Craig "Moonie" Bergeron learned the ropes of Cajun cooking from his grandfather at their family hunting camp. In 2002, driven by his passion for cooking and a dash of Cajun courage, Moonie left a secure job at Castrol Oil to chase his dream. He opened Bergeron’s, staking everything—even the family home—on its success. Thanks to his gumption and a little help from his family, Bergeron's has grown from a small kitchen to a booming 7,000-square-foot establishment in Port Allen, Louisiana. In addition, Bergeron’s has locations all across Louisiana, including Shreveport, Bossier City, Covington and Gonzales with his hopes set on expanding to even more locations!

Autism Awareness

At Bergeron’s, we are proud to support individuals with Autism. We are dedicated to raising awareness for those with Autism as well as providing fulfilling and joyous opportunities to experience life to its fullest. Our unique bread rolls are hand-created and made with love in a facility that employs individuals with Autism. In addition, we hold a fundraiser annually to help raise awareness and opportunities for those living with Autism and their families.
